Remote start

Ok, I doin' an '03 ford explorer remote start. DEI system 562t, and of course a 555f. The problem is it will not remote start, you hit the button and nothing happens. The freshly wired keyless entry works, and it gives me DEI code 6, which is a positive/negative shutdown. Still waiting on damn tech support to call back. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks guys

I do not know DEI but Im guess the 555f is your bypass for FORD. Doe sthe starter even go through its sequence, other than turning over the truck? Does the theft light blink or stay on solid? The only thing I can think of with out these answers are your bypass might have a problem

Thanks for the help, just got her done, can't use the 555f, had to use a 555u. I do appreciate the input tho.

I had a similar crimestopper issue. It must be a different transponder system.

you could have used the 555 S (for securilock) but I don't use either the F or the S I'll use either 555 P or 555 U, the F and S can change their 'code' when the temperature changes and sometimes the car won't like it. just some suggestions.

also on some of the fords, if you get your tach signal from a coil, and later have a no start condition, you may wanna change it to an injector. I've had that problem a few times, so I just go right to an injector now instead of a coil. :lol
