So I just got my windows tinted today...

I'm in NY state first of all, legal limit is 70% but the place actually talked me into getting 20% mirror/silver fade tint. They have 15 years of experience so I trusted them. Driving home in the dark was very odd, with 20% tint it was quite hard to see outside of my car. I have a 2002 Honda Accord 2 door. I got the front sides, back sides, and rear all at 20%.

1. There seems to be 'streaks' and bubbles around my dot matrix and on the windows in general. They said this should go away within 2 weeks, is this correct?

2. I am keeping my car in a heated garage at 68 degrees farenheit. What else should I do for maintenance of the tint in the first 2 weeks or so? How long until I can drive my car and leave it out in the cold for about 8 hours?

3. I have a sound system in my car also, and it shakes the windows quite a bit...would turning it up loud affect the tint? If so I can live with keeping it down for a bit (How long?)

4. Oh and they did my rear glass tint on the inside...I thought I read on this forum that they do it on the outside for the rear glass?

Thanks in advance, I numbered the questions so it would be easy for people to help me in a more organized way. :thumb

Tintdude, does that mean I can drive my car 15 hrs after it sitting in a heated garage and leave it outside for about 8 hours? (I have school heh)

But if it would be best to not drive it yet, I can leave it there and take a different vehicle to school.

I am really surprised that they talked you into getting 20% silver fade film, especially for the front doors. You are going to get yourself into alot of trouble with law enforcement. 70% film lets in 70% of the light and 20% lets in only 20% so when you drive your car, you'd better keep the 2 front windows down. I wonder if it is somebody on this board that did the tint job. I hope they know what they are getting themselves, as well as us, into. :evileye
