You can purchase anti-theft security bypass modules to disable the Passlock systems. I don't think that they disable the system permanently, just for the time limit that the remote start system is activated.

what you most likely need to use is part DEI 555L, piece of cake to use on most gm vehicles.

2 relays and a potentiometer(fancy adjustable resistor)

actually a permanent solution involves ZERO relays, just a pot-meter or resistors, but I do not recommend it. Resistors will wear out and the truck will be stranded somewhere.

Hi, I just found this forum from a google search. I was installing a remote car starter and mistakenly thought I had to run one of the wires to the Passlock power and removed a fuse to do it, tripping off the Passlock system. I've tried disconnecting the battery (for hours) and leaving the key in the "run" position for over 1/2 hour, but the car keeps shutting off after 2 seconds. I want to permanently bypass this thing so I can get my car going, do I just have to wire the correct resistance value between the centre wire and the outside yellow one (I'm assuming dash side?) to disable it permanently? I would really appreciate any feedback as I'm a full time student and a trip to the GM dealer is out of the question for me, and of course, when I call them for help, they're about as much help as a dead stump. Thanks for any help you can give me.
