Tricking the Doors

I'm tinting a 2008 Viper tonight. I've done some research, and the windows come down 1/2 inch upon opening the door. Those of you that have done these, what do I need to do in order to trick the door into thinking it's closed, so I don't leave a gap?

On the latch at the end of the door, there is a piece that swings down over the striker plate in the body of the car, you can use a screw driver or your fingers to flick this piece down, the window should then raise.

Some cars use the switch that controls the interior light - if this is the case, you need to operate the switch and the window should raise ( This is normally on old BMW's)

Click the latched closed with a screwdriver on the door. The car will think the door is closed if there is no pin in the jamb. If there is a pin in the jamb, use a quick grip.

Thanks guys. How do I go about getting it back into place where it will then shut? Do I trigger the automatic lock to "unlock" the door?

Just open the door from the handle inside.

lol I havent tinted one of those, but generally on the 10,000,000 mustangs I get thats what I do to "trick" them
