This is a pretty crazy business that we are in. Its up and down and easy... decent money... but lately I've been thinking I could do much better by doing something different. I know several investors with tons of property.. I'm thinking about going into property management.. Back to you guys though.. what would you do if you didn't want to pursue a window film industry career? I've been in it for 4 years... I feel I've mastered the automotive side of the trade and I'm thinking of moving on.. I'm a person that hates to waste time/life and I feel as if I've reached a plateau in the window film installation industry.

why would you want to leave tinting when you can make more cash in a day than a high class hooker by just putting a bit of plastic on some windows,

its like free money...................

I just make an honest living with tinting ,sometimes real good and sometimes not so good! But I love the business and it's my identity in my town! Money isn't everything but it's important and this is a trade where you can get out of it what you put into it! Some guys do very well with it because there good business men and they love what they do and I personnally think that's the key!!! :bingo

I couldnt just leaving tinting without missing it. im good at other things, but feel the most comfortable tinting. if I were to get out of it, I would probably go back for working in the fire dept.

This is the reason why we do a lot more than just tint automotive/commercial/residential. We also do 12v electronics and full home/commercial media and automation. I never get bored because I am always doing something different. Yesterday I installed three alarms and tinted three front twos. Today I am doing mostly tint and might go do an exterior job tonight, if I can get the customer to go ahead and jump. Tomorrow I have a clear bra and maybe a stereo install. This weekend it looks like I might be installing some LCDs. There is no reason to limit yourself to just applying window film.

I've thought about it... but I can't see being happy doing much else. It's not so much that I just love to tint, but I enjoy the whole ball of wax.. I enjoy dealing with customers (I only do FG) I like being at someplace different... I like selling... I really enjoy the flexibility I have with this gig...
