now that I have been using compu cut. I am able to do flames on windows. ive tried a few different methods. to try find find the easiest. and best way to put them on. so far ive found that the best way. to install them clean and quick. is as follows. if anyone has a better way . please let me know. ok what I do is. first I remove the door panel. then I take the flames . and I put them directly on the the full door piece. and with the liner still on the flames. I squeege them to it. and them just simply install as if it where just one piece. of film insted of two seperate.and the reason I take the door panel off. is because I take the liner completley off. the full door pieceand line the bottom of the flames. up with the bottom of the full piece. so by removing the door panel. obviously I am just avoiding contamination.

I always install the design by itself, heat it up pretty good, and then rinse the window again and install the next piece. I just use a scrap piece of film larger than the design as a 'pre-mask' for the installation. Some designs(if they are too intricate or have alot of seperate pieces) I do use a vinyl premask on it for the install. I've never tried installing the design to the main piece and then installing all of it as 1 install. Sounds like it would be hard to line it up correctly. :lol

I tried it that way blade. I used the liner as a mask. and it worked well . but took to long. by placing it on the backing piece itself. I saved alot of time. as far as lining it up. it is actualy alot easier. just remove the liner. from the backing piece completley. wet it as usual. the stick the flame on it with the liner still attached. on the piece. position it where you want it. and then tack it down with a hard card. then just remove the liner from the flame. and wet the entire piece again. and then just stick it to the window. like you would do for a normal window. no heating and no worrying about anything coming loose.
