I have an auto shop in North New Jersey and wanted to do some tinting for extra cash. I never did tints before and wanted to see if I can get some advise on how to go about it and what would be a good tint brand and size. I will be practiceing on some of my buddys cars before I start to advertise that I do tints. Can any one help me out???

practicing for a year so you can start charging your friends, 2 until you can charge customers, and 3 until you can do any car that comes in the door(hopefully :bingo )

I definitely recommend getting alot of practice before you advertise. Maybe hire an experienced installer. Your gonna need to have a good clean environment that is dust free. So if you can find a way to partition off a section specifically for tinting. As for the type of film to use, TintJunkie is right you'll get a million answers. But I highly recommend Johnson. Their price, quality and customer service can't be beat.

USE THE SEARCH and you will find the answers to your questions......I mean even a google search will find most answers that are posted here...

I think the easiest item is picking a tint supplier out.. Getting the skills is a whole different ball game.. We are not slamming you just making you aware is not as easy as it seems..

I have been tinting for a short time 1.5 Yrs. and I think there is still a lot to learn..and there is a lot of info to gain from all these experience tinters here..I don't know what I would of done without lots of advice from these great tinters.. I think I would have gave up long ago..

Well then my friend, your in for a world of hurt if you try to tint a customers car with no previous experience in the biz. Your better off to hire someone who knows what their doing, before EVER doing it yourself. This is not something you learn in a day, a week, a month...years is more like it.
