tint123 Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Do not just trust just Carfax, when considering a car, I just checked on a car using them, showed clean as a whistle, and good maintainance history. In conjunction with Carfax, I use Autocheck (part of Experian) 60 days, $29.95 AUtocheck showed it was sold at Auction, and announced as Frame Damage, which Carfax did not show, in fact their report reflects no frame damage. In the future, I am using both to make sure 1 does not miss something the other found. Just thought I would pass this on, as I almost made a purchase of a frame damaged car.
Booms Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 In Florida it is illegal to sell a frame damaged car without disclosing it. If You lived here, and discovered it had frame damage You could have gotten Your money back. Good catch though!
