Ink Residue on Huper Optik and Harmonic Distortion

Hello.

I just had my car tinted with Huper Optik 40 and I have a few questions.

Shortly after I got home from the tint job I noticed that there are a few dark marks (almost like tinny hair lines) on certain places on my side windows and back glass. Before I left I asked the tinter if there is anything I should be aware of and all he said was to give the tint a week to cure before doing anything. At first I thought that the marks would go away, but after three days they don’t appear to be improving. So I decided to take it back and asked him about the marks. When he looked over them he explained to me he knows exactly what happened. He said the marks were caused by the Huper Optik label bleeding through the lining and onto the film. He proceeded to take some WD40 to try and clean them off, but I stop him and told him that I want to wait and let the film cured before he clean it. If indeed that the marks were cause by the Huper Optik label bleeding through can he safely clean them off? Will there be any adverse affect on the tint if he was to use WD40 on the film to clean it? I also have a small flake half the size of a pea located on the lower edge of the back glass that I thought was a water bubble but now not sticking onto the glass. Can this also be retouch?

My other question is the harmonic distortion on the back glass. My tint is a week old and my back glass harmonic distortion is pretty bad at nights while driving and especially when there are multiple cars behind. Will this distortion improve over time? This is my first tint and I don’t know if is acceptable for a high end film such as the Huper Optik?

I have an appointment to see him this week and what should I do in this situation?

Thank you.

I have included some pictures taken at night:

Good call Stan :nope

As far as the "pea size" whatever it is in the back window...we can't answer that, Your installer can though.

The "harmonic" :skit distortion, is from headlights bending or "refracting" around the defogger lines at night. Window Film magnifys the problem. No fix for that one. :thumb

:skit I have no experience with HO so I don't know about that problem, but I see no reason wd40 would hurt the film.

as for those "harmonic distortion", booms is right, its caused by the slight air gaps the defrosters create, and will be there with ANY film you put on the window. Its normal, you just have to get used to it.
