tinting booth

I have thought of buiding one of these for really hot or really cold days just 2x4s and dry wall just big enough to fit any car or truck in about the size of a do it yourself car wash bay,with a window unit in it so you can work in heat in the winter and cool in the summer,anyone have somthing like this?

that is a good idea, I think mdog has the closses thing to that!

I used to build floral refigerators the kind you walk in and the insulaton was styrafoam!

hell yes do it! my plastic thing I tint in works good. I wish I could make something out of 2 x 4 and drywall. having a cool place to work sure makes tinting more enjoyable. I have had a airconditioned area to work in the last 2 years and I havent thought about quitting once since then.

That sounds good except for room to move around, sounds like that could be cramped inside??? Last summer I finally broke down and had air put in the shop and I love it also my heat is really good there too, so I think if someone can get those two things going for them I would rather have the larger shop for more room :thumb

you havent lived untill you have tinted in 100 degree weather everyday for 3 months :thumb

MDIZZLE, I bet my shop was easily that hot before I got air... I thought I would die a few times... I really, really appreciate the AIR... We had a neighbor who came to our house and asked if he could use either our garage or carport so that he could work on his car out of the direct sun last summer it was over 100 outside. I felt sorry for him because I knew what it was like to work in the heat so I told him to bring it down to my shop in the airconditioning... It worked out fine he stayed off to one side and didnt get in my way once... I dont know what I would do without it now...

in the summer I take 3 identical t shirts every day,and change into a clean dry t-shirt after each tint job,sometimes when I an done tinting I look like I jumped in to a swimming pool :thumb
