50% and 5% have a smell to them once the liner is pulled off....

I have not had a film ever have such a strong smell (keep in mind I have only used a few films over the 6 years I have been tinting)

I have searched around and have not seen anything about it, let me know what your input is.

I have been happy with the service and have heard global is a quality brand, just curious what this could be.

thanks

about a year ago the Global HP started having a strange and strong smell. I was assured it was just a different solvent in the adhesive and nothing to worry about. I have pretty well got "used" to it I guess or it has decreased as I don't notice it much anymore....

No worries I would say.

Do not let the manufacturers fool you by saying this is a different manufacturing process. Plain and simple, they are not removing the solvents with the dryers and it WILL create premature failure.

numerous people, including howard who is probably one of the most knowledgeable distributors in the whole country and probably world has said several times that it will not affect the film. I trust him, seeing as he has dealt with so many films. Also, QDP has been out a long time without any problems yet :beer

The term is "High Solvent Retention". Maybe there skipping a step in the Assembly of the product :beer

And yes , the smell is noticable, Grab any newer sample booklet and smell for yourself.
