My take on the LG skyscraper Ladder

Used my new skyscraper 17 today for the first time. My take is that it's lightweight and manageable for one person. That one person being me, 6ft 250lbs. Once you get the technique down it's very easy to set it up by yourself. On this day I onlyneeded the 14ft a-frame, not the full 17ft it goes. The work platform is awesome once you trust it to hold your weight...lol. The platform enabled me to reverse roll these 5ft wide windows with both hands facing the window. I also have the tool platform which keeps tools and paper towels close by. Definitely worth every penny of the $700 I paid for it.

nice ladder! pretty damn big span on the bottom, but I guess you can unlock it and fix that. Did you ever get rid of the other one you had?

I ended up selling 4 of my old fiberglass ladders for $500 , so I actually only shelled out $200 for the LG. Yeah I still have the second LG they sent me. I can't believe no one has bought it from me on craigslist. Super deal at $375 now.

I use to have one. we use to strap a tie downs on a step on both sides(bring the legs in closer). so the ladder doesn't take so much room and you'll get a couple of feet higher. its still scarry.

nice ladder, but fockin heavy. :lol2

You know, I always hear how HEAVY these ladders are, but if you compare the weight of one of these to an equivalent size ladder, either an extension or step ladder, then it is about even. I have went and lifted the same size of ladders, compare the fully extended sizes, and fiberglass and aluminum are both heavy when you have a ladder the equivalent size.....

The fiberglass 14ft ladder I use to have weighed 75lbs and I believe the LG skyscraper-17 (the ones I have) weight the same, just 5 ft shorter when carrying it into someone's home...Makes it very manageable by one person for sure. If you can't handle 75lbs, are you truely a real man?
