I am new to the wonderful world of tinting. I have not had any trouble until I tried to tint the rear window of a Grand-Am. I screwed that motherf*cker up good. I was wondering what any of you pros would have to say about the idea of spray-on tint. Also, would you have any tips on the application of it. Any helpful replies would be greatly appreciated. :shock

they don't even make spray-on tint anymore. and even if they did, it would still be the biggest crock-of-crap that's ever been.

oh, here's an idea :shock , let a professional do it!

if you can't do the back glass of a grand-am, you're in for a world of hurt. back glass's don't come much easier.

I checked into the possiblity of having the pros do it, and I was quoted a price of $125. I do no know if this is the regular going price, and even if it is, I do not have that kind of money to throw down just for one window. God forbid, I'd paint it before I'd pay that much. I live in Northern Michigan, where the snow falls deep, and the businesses gouge. We have no choice but to patronize them, because there is nowhere else to go within 150 miles.

P.S. In case I gave the wrong impression, I am only tinting for pure pleasure. I have only done the side windows on my car (a '77 Buick Regal), and the Grand Am....a friend's. I was only searching for some possible help and\or info on the subject. :shock

:shock $125 is not price gouging. in other areas of the country it would be more. ALOT more.

God forbid, I'd paint it before I'd pay that much.

you'd be surprised how often tinters hear this. hey, this is a LUXURY item. if you ain't got the dough, don't DO ANYTHING.
