Hey there I know there are other ways to shrink and I have tried most. I found that for me the best one for me is wet shrinking the back glass. Is there anythink wrong with that or should I try another method im about to start doing other peoples cars that I dont know and all I hear from them is that they want it to look very good. I started tint on friends cars for about 1yr now, and I dont want to lose customers early in my career. I use solar gard films and I dont want to be taken as a hack on the forum or as a tinter. Thank You this place is a BIG Help to me.

Wet is ok but you may find on certain cars its easier to dry shrink and on certain nissans especially you can avoin some problems on defrost lines dry shrinking......But if wet works for you and the job comes out good, then theres no reason to stop what you're doing....

I'll wet shrink side windows, small small back glasses (like a vibe hatch glass), and do a follow up wet shrink on back glasses after a dry shrink. I've seen some variations of a traditional wet shrink but it's pretty well extinct if you ask me.

Wet shrink curved side doors , learn soapshrink, you won't look back to wet for back glass's :rollin

Just recently switched over to dry shrink and love it. Still do some wet, but that way is going out with the do-do-birds. You have to keep up with the times. :thumb:rollin

I used to wet shrink only but dry is the way to go!! soooo much easier. I couldnt wet shrink now if I wanted too!LOL. cut my shrinking time down by 10 mins.

dry shrink will make for a smoother film. With wet shrinking you get more stress because it shrinks less surface area on the film......

very small fingers get a wet shrink on something but anything under 1/2" wide gets a different style....
