Bad Tint Job

I have a question regarding a tint job I had done on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The driver and passenger door windows look fine but the hardtop has some issues. On the two side windows and the rear hatch window have small lines running around the outer edges where there is not tint. Like they cut the film too small so it wouldn't fit leaving the outer edges not covered by the tint. Is this something that is common on all jeep hardtops, or did they just do a poor job?

Tough to say without seeing it, if its a uniform line, around the whole thing its probably just where the film overlaps the black edge, which is common, if you can post pics we can be of more help....

Post a picture and we can tell you.

You will have a thin line all the way around that back glass right were the part of the glass you can look through transitions into the black border. The film overlaps onto that raised balck border and creates a silver looking line all the way around the glass.

Its common on every vehicle thats made these days.

Indeeed as already posted it may be the transition you are seeing. If the film was not covering the visible glass it would be highly noticeable from the interior of the vehicle.

I believe it would be wise to go back to tinter and ask him or her the very same question, but omitt "poor tint Job". Just pick up the tele and ask.

Then of course let us heard the respond. :DD

Dont those have rubber gaskets that meet up with the glass on those hard tops? If so the tinter might have left a lil gappy all around the glass.

I've never done a wrangler, who has doors or a roof on one??
