mine too....so far...hopefully they dont lose power...the sump pump is the only thing savin them

If they don't already have this, make sure they get a back up sump pump and a generator, then they will have added security ..also , I bought my parents an alarm that you plug into any 120 outlet that's a real good idea...you can go to bed with piece of mind..if the power goes out in the middle of the night, the alarm will go off ,wake you up and that will give them time to take appropriate action be it turning on a generator to keep the pump going or to start bailing water manually ..as you know, it takes little to know time to lose your basement if the sump isn't even working for a few minutes in some cases.

The alarm for that kind of piece of mind only costs $50, cannot be found in stores , but came 2 days from ordering it online

:dunno sorry...but if you knew my parents (aint no way in he!! they are gettin up in the middle of the nite to be bailin out their basement.) and you knew where they lived (no neighbors for miles and no emergency help/vehilces for at least 25 minutes) you would understand why all that crap would just be tossin money out the window. Instead, they toss that money into their insurance to get the coverage they need when the hits the fan.

Not trying to take anything away from ya though Brad...good advice for most
