hey all, I need some help in my decision on what to do. I have a mtx thunderform box, which the sub blew along time ago, and I replaced it with a pioneer premier 10", still sucks. Now the phoneix gold amp has died a slow death, it has finally quit all together

This is an extended cab, and I am willing to relocate the jack box in order to accomodate an additional sub. I like my music load, but clear. I need to replace those 6 3/4" factory door speakers as well, which are not on an amp, just an older alpine head unit. I will most likely keep the head unit, it has front rear and sub rca's

any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, also, I dont like country, I listen to fast, hard metal, like slipknot so if that makes a difference

and I like a fair amount of bass, but I dont have to be the guy you hear 5 miles away, just as long as it will rattle your fillings in your teeth :beer

as for the bass in your truck it depends how much you want to spend... maybe 2 10" kicker compVR's in an under seat box. usually you can scoop up the subs and amp fairly cheap at circuit city. my personal preference is JL audio. the w1's are fairly cheap as is the a series amps also . however they are usually more than people are willing spend.. not sure what your budgets like. personally I have a JL 10w3v3 with a JL 250/1 in a custom box I built and it sounds great.

but definitely go with a seal box for rock music.. and I would suggest checking recommended airspace of a prospect woofer and see whats available in the way of boxes (assuming your going with prebuilt, bc otherwise you can make it what ever size you want)

as for door replacements I just ordered a pair of jvc 3 ways (CS-HX637X). ive hear the 2 way jvc's on an after market h/u and they sound great I will let you know how the 3 ways sound asap but im positive they will sound great!

I know your rich, you just did a 15 passenger van :thumb

:evilgrin try three of those basturds yesterday, they decided since I did it sooo fast, they had two more, plus an 08 f-350, then my wife schedules a bug convt. to r&r I dont work this hard, normally, so it was a tuff day, and late night

I haven't decided what to do yet, I had a few peeps pm me with a few ideas, but I know I want a box with two subs, but not sure on what components to use, because as my wife will tell you, I'm a cheap scape, well as far as she knows, I usually lie about how much stuff costs :thumb:evilgrin
