Customer calls me - theres a hair in the tint

Damn I thought, didnt see that? Oh well, bring it back ill redo it

Car comes in - cant see hair

But theres a 4 inch scratch on the tint

mmm I thought? Was it me, I dont remember scratching tint with card or grit on cloth

I said someone must have scratched the tint when in the back of the car

No-one goes in the back she says, ever

mmm ill redo it if it bothers you, I said

ok

so I take film off in one so I have a template, remove glue and hey presto - same scratch on glass

I go and get removed tint and there is a scratch on that also in the same place

so it was done after tint was installed so wasnt me

Retinted it and window looked the same

think she was trying it on and hoped I would redo it as it was my falt, but when she or someone scratched the tint it scrstched the window also

so it looked the same on leaving

Not sure of the moral to the story or any lessons learned or how interesting this post is!

beat eastern european posts anyway (only joking! :nohit: )

Stll a pain in the arse for you to re do the glass, but a least she left with the new tint exactly the same as the old so you know it was not anything you did or missed!!

scratch through film and in glass sounds like diamond ring to me. I would tell her before you took tint off, if its not install error she has to pay for redo.

:beer Once I had the same, but it was a deep hole on the glass of the old car. And it worked. :beer

are you saying there was a cut in the tint..or a scratch...a scratch in the tint would not leave a scratch in the glass..a cut..maybe.at any cost...no big deal..customers happy and it didnt take to much of your time or $ out of your pocket.
