Will tint shops just cut a piece for you?

I am in California. Yes, I KNOW it's illegal, but I want to put a light tint on my front windshield. Do the pros here think that most tint shops would cut a piece of tint for me that is my windshield size (exact cut) and I would apply it at home? Please,.......I can feel the critics already. I just would like to know.

some do some don't. we don't know what every shop does. just call around. I would sell a piece of film to a customer, but I'm not gonna shape it and trim it to size for them.

Like blade said, call round don't know I can tell you this, you have a 50/50 chance of it happening, and a 50/50 chance of it not happening

Most reputable companies that sell high performance light films (70%vlt and up) will not sell those films over the counter. They have to install them or at least their suppliers demand that they install them which would then make it _______.

Like VClimber said, most reputable companies won't sell the professional grade film to anyone over the counter. If you are wanting it shrunk down and trimmed to fit, be prepared for sticker shock. IF I were to do something like that, it would cost you as much as if I did the job. You may as well find you a shop that'll do it. I'm sure theres one out there SOMEWHERE.

AND if You have never done this before , its harder to hang a windshield than it is a back glass.....steering wheel all up in the way and such. Oh and it HAS to be spotless....oh and ALOT of windshields have serious curvature to them...hard to shrink...other than that...good luck to Ya!

Mcsesaturday, try those tint shops that have computer cutting machine, they might sell you as long as you don't ask them for shrink it for you.

ILL SELL U A PIECE OF FILM BIGGER THEN YOUR WINDSHIELD HOWW MUCH MONEY YOU GOT ILL EVEN EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW TO INSTALL IT I WONT SHOW YOU BUT ILL TELL YOU ITS EASIER JUST TO PUT IT ON THE OUTSIDE NOONE WILL EVEN NOTICE J/K BUD GO TO A GLASS SHOP HAVE THEM TRY TO REMOVE UR WINDSHIEL WITHOUT BREAKING IT (GOOD LUCK) THEN WHEN ITS OUT YOU PUT THE TINT ON URSELF HA HA H AH A JUST DONT TINT IT IT DOESNT GET HOT ENOUGH IN CALI?
