I am looking at getting my cars window tint done, the back 3, and was wonder about the classic 20%. It states on their web site they have a lifetime warranty against color change. I would like to get their comfort metal style tint but it comes in a 15% not a 20%. Doesnt all dyed film eventually fade and thats the reason they came out with the metal type? My car sits outside all day and year round in the sun-minus the winter months. I didnt see alot of pics or post with tinters using this film thats why I ask. It seems Solar Gard-3M and LLumar and the top 3 or most installed. Any help or info would be great.

Stay away from classic. It's the entry level film.

Why would you go with a high-end brand like FormulaONE and then get the cheap crap?

CPFilms makes FormulaONE and LLumar. F1 is the high-end exclusive brand.

Get F1 Pinnacle.

Thanks for the advice. SInce you guys are the experts thats why I thought Id ask. Before you give the 5% answer, how much darker is the 15% vs a 20%? Are we splitting hairs? I understand going from a 50 to a 35 to a 20 theres a big difference. Yes I understand the OEM windows have a slight tint on them. I dont really drive to much during the night time. I do have black interior though and always have the sun roof shade open so I assume more light would enter the car.

Yes, you are splitting hairs.

Between batch to batch variations in both the film and glass 20% and 15% isn't going to be much of a difference in the real world.

I swtiched to Llumar 2 years ago from Sungard. I had been using the Slate 20 and bought a roll of ATR 20. It was just not as dark as the Slate was. So I went to the ATR 15 and have loved it.

IF you put the 15 and 20 right beside one another then you will be able to see a difference but only a very slight one. The reason for the difference would have to be for legal issues....
