tint123
One Dealer wanted $999 for pinstripe and high performance tint on their add-on sticker. Sales Rep couldn't tell me what made it high performance or who did it, much less what brand it was.

Dont we mark up the product before we sell it. Is there anything in your shop that you buy from a wholesaler and sell it for cost. There in the business to make money just like the rest of us
Guest thatsnappyguy
when I was workin at the dealership, the add on price for any tint was $495.00. same price for 2 doors, or the whole veicle. of coarse I was paid more for the more that I tinted. using johnson sp. the ford dealer across the street was $595.00. I %&$# u not. our job was to let no vehicle be sold without adding on tint to the price. when I was looking to buy a toyota, I was walkin around lookin at the add on prices....examples.... CHROME EXHAUST= $199.00 it was nothin more than a 7 inch chrome tip with that bolted on the factoy tip. the same tip u can get from walmart for about $10 WINDOW TINT= VARIED AT THE DEALERSHIP BUT AROUND $200- $300 PIN STRIPPIN= $300 A.R.E. BED COVER = $2,000 SPRAY IN BED LINER = $650.00 NERF BARS= $500.00 NOW ALOT OF US DEAL WITH AFTER MARKET ADD ONS AND WE KNOW THE PRICES. NONE OF US WOULD EVER PAY THIS EXTRA AMOUNT FOR SUCH CHEAP PRODUCTS. BUT A REGUALR CUSTOMER DONT CARE CUZ ALL THEY SEE IS A MONTHLY PAYMENT. BIG E
And people finance the cost of these accessories with their auto and pay for many years on that $300 pinstripe!
TINTZEUS
Alot of dealers will go high on the sale price of aftermarket products.....that gives them room to negotiate the bottom line sale price.
Guest tintgod
one dealer I do work for will have me do the 2 front windows on a suv and on the 2nd sticker they add "Window Tint 399.00"if the custy was paying attention they would notice that factory tint was included on the invoice. I called it to the dealers attention and the manager just gave me a sly YEP...I worked for a dealer that did that...once I found out that they were doing that..I put in my two week...I think I ended up working there for two week...I dont do work for dishonest ppl like that..I dont care how much they pay me. tint123
One dealer (been out business a few years now ) was charging $299 for fabric seat protectant on all their cars. That was ALL the cars, including the ones with Leahter Seats! Never asked if that extra charge seat fabric protectant ever damaged the leather seats. Check the math on the dealer add-ons, usually they make a bit of a "mistake" in their addition, never in the customers favor.
