Hi

Im looking to learn how to put graphics in tint, we get asked for it quite a lot and dont really no how to do it. Hate turning work away so can anyone help.

Is there anyone that can train me.

Tried a bit of free hand (flames) but wanna use the plotter for more interesting things.

Im based in Dorset in the UK, dont mind paying or travelling.

tinting is an art. when u can do more with tint than just put in on the glass, that makes u a better tinter in the publics eye. if someone seen some good art work that was clean and neat, they would have no problem in trusting u to do a quality job for them, even if its a regular tint job. I dont do as much artwork with tint as some of they guys here, but when I do, its looks good. it not only makes u a better tinter in thier eyes, but its proves that u are more than just a " window tinter," it makes u an artist who takes pride in your work. who would u rather get your car tinted by? someone like you, or someone like me, who is not scared to show off my skill.

yea man. we just started wrapin tail lights with the laminx stuff. I like that. I would really like to get into paint protection but I dont know if it would jump off around here cuz no one really ask for it.

Regardless of the skill involved which is not in question, are there customers wanting this or are tinters offering it as it makes their repertoire more arty?

Just the customers I see and the people I know would not want a cartoon in tint on their window of their car

what happens if you sell the car on?

Easier to sell it with just tint?

Im not sure if tinting is an art, its slapping plastic on glass without getting sh!t in it, making sure there are no gaps and everything is smoooooooth ...

Im just not a fan (in case you hadnt guessed!) of tint graphics on cars :thumb

u dont think tint is an art....its just slappin plastic on glass.? clearly u dont have pride ion your work. I dont know about some of the other guys here, but I take that as an insult....big time. I make a very good living for myself. I am 23 years old, been doin it for 7 years now. never needed to borrow money from parents...ever. bought my first house at 21 years old...paid for my honey moon...have 2 brand new cars, and my wife is a full time student that does work. I have all this from taking a flat piece of film, shrinking it to the same shape of any given surface. I mangage to get any back glass in ONE piece with less dirt than any tinter that I personally know. not to mention that I can do the same thing on the doors. I got speed, quality cleanliness, and a dr*g free background. along with this, I can draw images out of my head, transport it window film, lay it on in multiple layers and make it not olny look good, but be clean and unique. I have some of the happiest window tinted customers that u can imagine. I see that u dont have as much experiece as me, but if u want to do this for a living, u better start thinking in a more positve attitude towards your work or u will never be a great tinter. ur just gonna be a regualr window tinter.

im not gonna take credit for this cuz I didnt do it. but u look at this and tell me this is not art.
