I call horsechiatt on the title of this thread and your post.

There are alot of contributing members here on this site that English is not there first language.

Some of them including Leo and a new one called Green One are learning English as they go on here.

I personally congratulate them for at least attempting to contribute and be a part of this forum :ninja

I'm fully aware that Leo and others are learning the language.

I've even spoken to Leo by PM. When Leo was considering not posting any longer, I asked him to reconsider.

It is not as if I'm down on the border with the "Minute Men" shinning lights toward the border.

In fact my family has ESL members.

As to spacing and use of capitalization. These conventions have more to do with readability than grammar. In answer to your inquiry, I would offer that no I do not consider myself the grammar police.

A number of years ago the National Endowment for the Arts came under fire for not having the proper sensibilities as to what is art.

By your logic then, a newly minted citizen should be given free reign to portray Jesus Christ in the manner that "artist" Andres Serrano did in his infamous piece "p1ss Christ".

I would just think that a group as visually oriented as window tinters would appreciate the readability benefits of adopting the typographical convention(s) that have served us well since the time of Gutenberg and his best seller the Bible. Is it ok to capitalize that?

Or we could just smear feces on the wall, aim our web cams, and make grunting sounds when we wish to communicate a "written thought" to other forum participants. However indecipherable that thought might be to others.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

I think people write that way because to their eye it is aesthetically pleasing, cool, hip, or sick.

Like for example the neon colored windshield wipers that were (once) all the rage.

FWIW I hardly think that pointing out something that we were all taught in early elementary school makes me highly educated or an elitist.

But to get along with others better, I have decided to contact my pastor and ask that they toss out those elitist King James Bibles and get some that are meant to be read by regular people who do not follow such silly elitist conventions.
