hi ali

on pentagon website they say - "We spend two or three times more time on a car than most car tinting companies"

not trying to be picky but how do they know this?

I think I spend quite a bit of time on mine getting it right

again, not trying to be funny, just wondered

cheers

this sucks big time, hate it when a big franchise claims to be the best in the business.

where's the proof?

also, your tint may be approved by audi etc but lets face it pentagon dont make their own tint do they.

in my area I'm appproved by bmw, vw, ford, mazda, kia, renault, peugeot, volvo and a few others

I can do cars in between 1.5 hours and 5 hours depending on what make and model and when the job leaves me its almost perfect (as no real tinter would claim to be perfect) give me any pentagon job and I WILL FIND MISTAKES!!

the only real claim that pentagon can make is that they are officially the dearest hence the reason so many closed down

Hey fimmo,

Whats with the hostility?

You'll find the approval is at manufacturer level not dealership. If you look on the accessories list for VW/Audi you will find Supaglass this is done by Pentagon at the various branches. Same is true for Mercedes Benz UK. Officially these (VW/Audi) guys are only supposed to use approved subcontractors I.e Pentagon.

No one is saying there aren't other good tinters out there but there is a lot of crap out there and with Pentagon you do have some recourse - if you're not happy with the finish of your car you can pursue it with head office who will make sure you (customer) goes away happy. I have heard of other shops who essentially tell the customer to like it or lump it!

Pentagon do turn out good work and have grown the market in the UK. As for branches closing down - lots of businesses fail - some have their franchises taken away for various reasons. I've had one for eight years employ 4 other people and make a good living - so Pentagon must be doing something right. At least with Pentagon you spend some time training - me 3 months - rather then a 3 day course from a film supplier. They also give you info on what to look out for with new models etc.

There are lots of independent tinters who have taken on Pentagon franchises and as for saying we are the best - there is nothing wrong with marketing yourself everyone does. Difference is if you visited the Acton branch you would see the set up which is pretty special.

As for the OP he is just trying to attract the right calibre tinter (experienced high end and good) - they are very difficult to find.

That said merry xmas and happy new year to you.
