Quick question for ya guys. In Wisconsin the tint law is 35% rears and 50% front(sides). In SunTeks carbon line they only show 5% 18% 35% 45% 70%. Is there any other % available in the carbon? If no, does any one know what the 45% reads on the meter when installed? or would I be better off going with the 70%? Any answers appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike S

70% will net about 55% to 58% on most cars.

45% is going to meter illegal.

Trust me, you will have customers get stopped from time to time with a 50% film installed. You have to explain to EVERYONE that due to batch to batch variations of both glass and film you give no guarantee that the film will meter legal. It's best to print that on the receipt!

For those that want 100% compliance with the law keep the 70% on hand. I think this year I installed 70% film on about 6 cars.
