Lookin for some advice

Recommended Posts

I'm roughly six months from graduating with a business degree, I have about 15k in student loans. No other debt and too many toys.

I am just wondering what would you do with a degree, nothing holding you to anywhere in particular and why you would consider doing that.

I think I posted this here for two reasons, first of all I know most of ya'll and appreciate your input and secondly you are all working within an industry that I have a great interest in.

Dude, do what you want to do and whatever makes you happy. The only reason I went to college was to make my parents happy. I had started tinting between my jr and sr year in high school. I went on to college got my degree. graduated in May and had my first tint shop open on June 1st. Never looked back

Good luck and I hope you ventures are prosperous :trustme

I would love to open up another shop. Not sure where yet, although Austin, Tx looks tempting. My only goal is to kill that debt asap and build a little capital... So I think I better hit the corporate side for a while... maybe.. lol

if you can escape from the industry run away! when you can!

as far as the degree, if you already have some experience along with that then go forward with it and hope it will be rewarding. Just make sure were you look, many major companies out there rather hire legal alien residents to pay less then us citizens. its a dirty world out there in the corporate side.

If you come Austin way holler.

Keep in mind theres a shop on every corner there, and an extremely tint price whored out market. Not as bad as San Antonio but pretty bad :trustme

Here's advice : listen and take in people's free advice on this that are your age and older.

People that aren't successful have good insight of valuable things they WISHED they had done while others who are successful have experience on how they got there..I ask well off and not well off advice all the time to help enrich my life .

I'll start you off : Dump the toys if you don't feel you need them, if certain toys bring you much joy, keep them because life's a 1 shot deal while here on earth ..enjoy it but not at the cost of great debt or toys that you can turn into cash which gets you out of debt.

As far as choosing a career that will lead you to great success, choose something yo love and are passionate about. If you do this , the money will come because you will always have energy and work long hours on something you are passionate about . Hard work and good ethics will take you a long way. The best of luck :trustme
