valet/program

My fiance lost her remote starter remote for her Valet 552T. I have a replacement one but I don't havr the valet/program button. is this something I can make on my own? does the button just complete the circuit?

Also it says in the manual you can hook a pc to this unit, is there software out there for this? a cable? can I make that cable also?

Yes the button just complete's the circuit.. Yes you can make one... However.. I would be easier to smoke on down to your local car audio shop and ask an installer for one if yours was not installed. (typically installers will just tie the button to a harness under the dash).

Yes you can program features of the system with a bitwriter. No you can't do it yourself. If the system is operating how you like don't 'F' with it.

My suggestion... take it to a pro.. for 30min. shop rate you can have them program your remote and go through any available options on programming for you.. PLUS you will save yourself a ton of headache/research/hassle

I did that, he tried for about 20 minutes and then said he couldn't get the remote it to work. I know it is the right remote and I bought it from this dealer that can't get it to work!!!

I am irritated!!
