Had a great tinting November , now my phone is dead and basically all caught up..time for me wheels in my head to turn ..anyone ever try Craigslist for free advertising when slow ? If so did it work

What I noticed on Craigslist is that everyone posts low prices on tint, I guess they figure that is all that is needed to get work, sell the experince and fact you have been around for however many years could get folks to come to you instead of the low price folks.

..I would never stoop so low as to hizzo my prices out ..I'd rather not work and take the time off I was thinking more along the lines of Christmas gift certificates for the person that just doesn't know what to buy

The thing that I have noticed about that site is that everyone that goes on there is always looking for a smoking deal on something.........including services like ours. They email you asking how much and they very few respond back. The ones that do have been asking for jobs to be done for far less than what is quoted.

You can get a few jobs off of there but you have to go thru a lot of back and forth e mails with people before you find the ones that actually want it done.

For example I had a guy ask about doing a full R&R on a 5 window Lincoln limo and to blackout his privacy window between the driver and passengers. I emailed back and forth before finally getting pictures of the car and it was a nice shade of dark purple. I quoted the job and he responds back say that he had already found someone that would do the job for a third of what the normal shop would charge. I asked him, "why are you even contacting anyone else?" And he says he is looking for a better deal.

Thats pretty much the type of people that I see from there. I have gotten a few jobs from there and the best part is that it is free.

Thats the way I look at it. I figure that I am going to be sitting at the computer anyway, I may as well try and get some work once in awhile from free sites too.
