Guest SHOMEURTINTS Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 Most solar bronze films are pretty safe for large windows, especially something as light as 40%. The solar absorption rate, depending on the manufacturer, is usually around high 30's to mide 40 percent range. If you don't see any over hangs, awnings, large trees, or other houses casting a shadow on the glass, you should be ok. If the glass is in good shape I wouldn't be worried about a bronze 40%. You may want to go back out and make you sure you don't have a shadowing issue. That's the deal killer! Any time I get commercial windows that are over 60" x 60" with any risk of breakage I usually stick with a solar bronze 20% because of the high reflectivity and low absorption rates. The 30's and 40's bronze are usually better than a neutral due to the reflectivity of the bronze film. Good Luck!
blade Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 check with global to be sure but in my opinion you'd be fine. but I don't know any specs for their films. I'd do it in a hearbeat with llumar.
Johnnytint Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 anything over 60X60 get an ok first
