Got off work Thurs, and saw a car with the hood up.

Customer's car would not start, dead battery.

I had somewhere to be, but put that on hold, cleaned the external corrosion of the cables (tons of it caked on there) pulled the cables and cleaned the battery posts and cables on the inside, hooked up the cables back on the battery, pulled up my car and connected the jumper cables, and started right up for her.

She tried to give me $50 for helping her, I told her "I won't insult you by refusing, but you only owe me a thank you and nothing else" "Others have helped me in the past, and I am just passing it on"

Makes a person feel good when they can help out another like that.

Good stuff ..you'll get more than 50 in other forms because you aren't expecting it that's how it works ..at least in my world anyways

Uh, matter of fact, no. It was an elderly lady, but would have helped any Man or Woman of any age, just the way I am. Especially when it is a well lit parking lot and my coworkers can

keep an eye on things.
