Need 48" Width Blackout

I ordered Johnson blackout 48" wide for (6) windows in a Kroger grocery store. These are interior windows that separate the shopping carts from the cash registers. We put up three pieces 48" x 45" and every piece was curling up along all four sides. Not the corners, but all four sides were curling up off the glass a good 2-3 inches. I called Johnson and they suggested using black tape to tape the sides down. That is not an answer to me.....

We had to rip the three pieces down and tell the store we would not be done in time for their grand opening tomorrow. Any suggestions on where to find 48" blackout that will stick to the glas without tape. Solyx only has 60" rolls, or I would go there.

In case anyone is wondering, these are great new windows, inside, 68 degree temps, using distilled water and film on as slip!

why not get your hands on a roll of calendared vinyl for a quick fix so that they will be done for the grand opening? then worry about the tint after it dies down a bit? :lol6

Did you buy it pre cut? If you did, re roll it the other way with the liner on the inside. Make the roll diameter about 2" so it doesn't tunnell. Next time you order it ask them to roll it liner in and loose. That's only if your doing the job within a week.

I bought it 48" wide by 25 feet. We received it yesterday and tried to install it today. It wasn't that the film was curling, it was the adhesive was not grabbing.

That's strange because their PS is usually sticky as h3ll. There wasn't any silicon on the glass was there? :lol6
