I am currently tinting in Memphis and the surrounding areas and have customers from Mississippi who want their windows tinted. Apparently you must have a sticker that goes between the window and the film that says that the tint is certified with the state? Does anyone know how you get these stickers? and/or what films are Certified with the state of Mississippi? Currently I am using Suntek HP and Carbon. I guess I could call Suntek but I you guys are so knowledgeable I figured you would know :poke

You could check with the Manufacturer of the film you use.

Or, you could call around to some shops in Miss and find out who supplies them with their stickers.

the film companies have to carry them for each state that requires

stickers......... in order to ship film into that state

.....or so I was told :poke

Thats what I thought as well, but some states, like mine, require that the installers info be on these stickers as well.

I thought I read a post on here awhile back, where someone said that you could use a lable maker, but I haven't seen any clear labels

I wonder if they make these stickers in sheets where they could be printed on your computer, like those avery sheets I use for price labels on accessories :beer

They dont have to be clear...they go in the door jam.

and yes..they do have sheets you can buy at office max or office depot and make them yourself.

Yep they do. I used some recently for a security film job. It was a school and the state required stickers showing that the film was in compliance.

Everybody STOP.

If a vehicle has Mississippi tags, the only sticker that means anything is the one from the Mississippi state inspection station. You can spend your money or time on the stickers that we use to use, but now it means nothing. Too many tint shops were putting bogus stickers on vehicles stating that they were legal when in fact they were not. Tint the vehicle and send them to state inspection station. They test the VLT when they are getting their regular inspection sticker. I refuse to do anything darker than legal so I can send them on with confidence. Just another $5 the state of MS collects.

By the way, Tennessee is different.
