Solar Gard has launched a new web site for dealers that has some very interesting and helpful topics. While we do not currently install these films , this is one of the best dealer oriented internet sites any of the manufacturer's have designed.

And. .no. .I don't work for Solar Gard! Just one lttle tint guys' opinion.

We know you are an SG rep V4! :poop:lol2:gasp:shock

Almost once. .not that very long ago.. I don't think I had what they wanted. .

:gasp

But- -I have always admired their web stuff since Mark B. was their Panorama Marketing GURU ( he's now doing Garware Global) I believe.

very good website with some very useful information. We do use some solargard film.

I would like to use the computcut system just as a gadget to have - but the equivalent system here in the UK costs almost double - last time I checked about £7500 which is over $15,000, it would take a long time to pay for itself.

For the last couple of years I've resisted getting a plotter but I may cave in soon. We have a very good template system in place and we would have to change our tinting system.

I can see myself buying some more solargard film as a result of this website.

OK- -I take back "GURU". .but. .at least they are trying! :beer

Have you seen their Armorgard, Armorcoat (whatever they are calling it now?) brochures? Police tape at the scene, mayhem, terror. .NICE YES??

Vista has pictures of flowers on their security sample cards- -FLOWERS??? A Garden????

3M once had a bomb blast brochure with the blown out building (OK City I think?)

No. .for my money BSF has the best propaganda in this business- -hands down!! Now if they can only get rid of the champagne bubbles!! :beer

I am not monitoring their add now seriously - I was with SG since 1994 till 2000....Thise time I don't saw any marketing bomb - except standart steps, and funny mistakes like picture of same building in 3 different booklets - but in one films was called Stainles Steel, in other - Titanium, in 3-rd 4 mil Titanium....Of course I am not also marketing GURU - but window film industry must learn from sugar water or Vodka advertisers. Window film ad look like seriuous scientific work for academics....That's a mistake IMHO....But no more ideas :beer - lot of lurkers here and they will ask their bosses xtra $$$$ for Leo's ideas....

New - 8 mil Safety version of the IRis 70.

This hybrid Ceramic/Safety film has outstanding solar rejection properties with absolute safety and security in mind for your customers. This film is currently under testing at Louisiana State University Hurricane Center and is now available for purchase.

IRis 70

8mil/2ply

Visible Light Transmission 65%

Visible Light Reflectance Int/Ext 9%

Total Solar Energy Rejected 55%

Shading Coefficient .53

Total Solar Absorption 54%

Luminous Efficacy 1.22

Ultraviolet Rejection 99.9%

*1/4" Glass

This would kill Prestige 70 Ultra (what doesn't?) really kill'em if 6 foot width.

Someone please order some of their stuff and let the world know details - -How Blue is Blue?
