how dark is 5% supposed to be?

let me start by saying that I have a legitimate reason for having such dark tint on my daytime car, I have VERY sensitive eyes. I actually have a special written consent from my eye doctor legally allowing me to have the tint that dark for daytime use. well, I was under the impression that 5% was PITCH black. when I unlock my doors with my keypad, my interior light comes on, and I can see inside the car. even with a light on in the car, shouldnt 5% still be pitch black?

well, I know its not going to look like I painted them black haha...but when the light comes on, I can see my whole steering wheel, and my seat, and I just didnt think it should show that much

why are you worried about how dark it is when you turn your light on inside...you have the dark tint on there for your eyes...who cares if you can see in with your dome light on.

Tint the windsheild You have a written consent,might as well if your running 5%
