old cars/clean glass

I have tried many different types of cleaners on the windows of older cars including the back glass,I have however, found that spraying the window with sd20,letting it sit for a min or two, then scrubbing the window with soap solution and a scrub pad (white)or steel wool, makes for a squeeky clean window, hence a cleaner install.. on the side windows I would roll the window down, take a scrub pad and scrub the rubber molding then wipe it of with a towel, before prepping the window, after the window is prepped ,I install the film, wetting the TINT only not the glass(window) makes for a very cleaner install.. on doors with felt I tape them off!!! :lol2 pretty sure these steps have been noted before,or are in your daily routine..if not glad to help :lol2:lol:lol
