Guest robdgaf Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 wow 32 people have no idea no flatglass tinters on here
Guest vclimber Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 No, we're here. We just don't use Solar Guard...
micro-edge Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 If they want it dark and block heat and glare silver 20 or a bronze 20 would fit the bill. Bronze would prolly look nicer only bad thing about these two films would be the interior reflectivity at night. I've never used any solargard though, that may be a good thing

Are you sure they want it dark? Don't they want customers to be able to see in? I would recommend a light film so that prospective customers can see inside. If they want dark, your options from SolarGard would be: Silver 20 Solar Bronze 20 Stainless Steel 20 (high solar absorance, so be careful) Grey / Silver 15 (reflective inside & very high solar absorbance, so be careful with glass breakage) Call your local rep and ask them. Good luck,
Guest robdgaf Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 im only tinting the sales tower and sales employee lounge so ya they dont want anyone to see in either.. I just got off the phone with the other tinter from our sister dealership and he said panorama slate 10% anyone heard of that its from bekaert which would also work I guess ur hating on solargard but thats the only thing I have ever worked with expect johnson a few times helping out a shop in town getting started
Guest mhun9180 Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Seriously call your rep dude. It seems you don't know enough about falt glass to make an educated decision. The last thing you want is broken glass if you put the wrong film on.
Guest SHOMEURTINTS Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 I've always wanted to visit Vegas.....This is the perfect time of year! Slip in a few plane tickets from KY and I'll fly out and help you with it! Since you have used Johnson before why not use the SV-10%. It will look similar to silver 20 from the outside but the charcoal coating on the inside makes it darker and cuts down a little on the interior reflectiveness. It's cheap too!

The last thing you want is broken glass if you put the wrong film on. That's the best advise, call your sales rep.! Before you call him, he'll probably need a bit more information to figure out the warranty against glass breakage: What type of glass (clear or tinted ) Annealed Glass or Tempered ? (Tempered glass has a little seal in one corner) Single pain or double pain?-How big is each piece of glass? Your sales rep. will help you decide which film will work best and what type of warranty they have. Or buy one of these dudes on this site a plane ticket! They'll take care of you.
Guest SHOMEURTINTS Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 What kind of glass is metalized?
