Is a 1-ply film (like Solar Gard Supreme) always going to be less superior than any 2-ply, on all instances? :evileye Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

depends on what you are doing with it, single ply film has it's uses, I wouldn't realy say it's "less" superior than a 2 ply, SG makes a good product, for certain climates, it all depends on where you live as to what film, single and dual will hold up the best.

Hey, thanks a lot for the quick response! I was looking to tint my car windows with SG Supreme. I live in Long Island, New York... where we have pretty hot summers and pretty cold winters. :beer It should hold up well, no? Under "Tinted Car Pictures", I see Lebron James' Benz is tinted with SG Supreme... that should make it good enough for my 01 Grand Am I suppose. :lock

Do you have any thoughts on the Supreme? I would love to hear them if you have any.

I haven't used the supreme since it came out, I tried some and it wasn't for me, in the desert where I live, SG doesn't fare to well, but up in the area where you are, it should hold up just fine.

There are a few tinters on here that are from the N.Y. area, ALL of them do top notch work, look in the tinters list on the board, and see if any of them are in your area.

Film, in all honesty is only about 1/3 of what to look into when getting a job done, 2/3's of it is the shop/installer doing the job, how does their work look, are they going to be around (should you have a problem) to fix anything that arises, etc etc etc.

Just my :evileye and a few things for you to consider.
