watchdaride Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 A graphtec 40" plotter is $3800 new .What makes these computercut plotter so expensive ? Are they better quality . I just asking because plan on buying a graphtec and neverheard of this brand before? Do they have a website with the plotter info.
Guest tintamerica Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 The Computer Cut plotter is from Bekaert (Solargard). You might want to check with them about the differences before you buy. It works great, but our tinters prefer to hand cut.
ssmobiletint Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 My Computer Cut ran about the same, they offer a longer warranty when you buy their cutter and of course their cutting software. Mine just has a 1 roll loader on the bottom and a 3 roll loader on the rear. I knew I could get a cutter much cheaper, but I wanted to hit the ground running and not run into compatability probs with other software and machine errors... Speaking of Computer Cut, I usually send graphics to them to have them converted to vectored to EPS. Is there just a simple software that I can get that I will trace my images for me? I have photoshop but ITS A PAIN!! I just need a simple softare that will just trace the entire image for me. any suggestions?
blade Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 we used computer cut for years. had them vectorize images for us too. we stopped using computer cut and now they won't let us have our designs back. they kept them and probably released them for public use on their site. bunch of BS if you ask me. even designs that we made ourselves and uploaded to the site we can't get access to or have sent back to us. we've been going through re-creating many designs because of it.

If you designed them there legally yours. Go to Walmarts photo department and ask for a copy right release form and it will explain how it works then sue the crap out of them for stealing your designs
Guest naughtydog Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Vector conversion service - looks good.
