I did this new restaraunt still under construction a few weeks ago. They were wanting some film on the kitchen entrance windows and office windows that would let light in but also block the view. Naturally white frost comes to mind. I showed them the sample and they agreed that was the best choice. I also tinted his front windows on his pick-up truck. He asked me what I charged to do them when I was giving the FG quote. I told him I would just do it for free if he accepts my FG quote. He accepted my FG quote and I told him I would tint the truck windows the same day I did the FG install. Fastforward to a couple of days ago. I get a call from the window blind company who sub'd me out on this job and she said the guy wanted me to come out and give him another quote on some more windows. Drove 40 minutes to get there and when I get there he said, well I was going to get you to put some more of that white frost on a couple bathroom door windows but I think we are going to just get some frosted glass instead. He said while you are here, I have a problem with that frost on the office windows. At night you can see shadows, I dont want anyone to see anything in there, especially if I am counting money in there and another thing, there are a couple of specs that havent dried out on my truck windows, I am going to need you to redo them as well. At that point I wanted to just drop my clipboard and punch him in the throat. I told him that I pretty much did the truck for nothing as a nice gesture. He says well, I never asked for anything free. I also told him I could replace the white frost in the office area with whiteout, but I wasnt redoing it for free. He goes on to tell me that I will have to talk to the blind company about getting paid to replace it. I leave and the blind company lady follows me out, we both roll our eyes and she said, don't worry, just give me a price to replace the frost and bill me. Some people like this guy can be just a-holes. You go out of your way to be nice and they :lol2 on you. :lol2

watch out! as much of an ass he is, if you re tint the office in white out, he might complain that the windows do not match looking at it from the outside. :dunno
