I use Vonage, it's not a bad deal at all, cheaper than normal phone service it is. :lol2

But, if your cable goes out the phone goes out as well, but it doesn't happen very often. :lol2

I have Vonage as well... I was using just a cell, but the quality in my place was crappy so I got Vonage. Once in a great while I'll have an echo on the line, but it hasn't happened in a while... the stutter tone sometimes goes a little crazy... but I just call myself and leave a new voicemail to clear it up.

But I've been very pleased with them. :evilgrin

I've had Vonage for 3 years now, and it rocks. I went from 120.00 + a month, to under 35.00 a month. I got my phone for 24.99 (27.10 out the door) plus 5.99 for my FAX line. I have Vonage residential service, so I don't know the Business pricing plan, but what I save over BellSouth way more than offsets the cost of the broadband. You have to have broadband internet already. Get cable internet, and you're set.

We've had some issues with call forwarding (Ya gotta set it up online), but other than that, greatest phone service yet!! Go for it!!! :evilgrin:evilgrin

AT&T wuz getting me for like 90 a month so I switched over to a company called PCS1 and get unlimited calling along with 3way, call waiting, call forwarding and all the other nice features. My bill has been like $42 a month after all the taxes and other fees for like 3 years now. AT&T has tried numerous times to get me back but why would I. They have offered me the same plan I have now for $49.99 a month, but thats still more, and PCS1 service is great.

cool features about to roll out..

Absolutely Vonage rocks! Check this out. My girlfriend is from Cartagena Colombia, I bought her a vonage phone and got her a (602) area code number (same as mine). She has high speed internet at her home in Colombia so now she plugs in her box and we talk as though it is local. Plus all her friends who live here in the US can be called for no charge because she appears to be here in the US (Free long distance). She also has family in Europe and with the free long distance to Europe....Well you get the picture. Sound quality has never failed me either. It's amazing stuff!

We get free Int'l calling. My wife calls her relatives in Manchester England, I call the Caribbean, and S. America alot. Hell I can even call Leo (If he'd answer his phone at 2 in the morning!!! :beer )

I just noticed a REAL problem with it tho. You get a router from Vonage. IF you are gonna offer WiFi, DO NOT GET a wireless router. Get a wireless access point. Linksys sells both a WRT54G (Router), and a WAP54G (Access point) Evidently, 2 routers dont get along very well. Your internet will SLOW WAY down. Its fine with the WAP, tho. Networking!!! SO MUCH FUN, and SO easy, even a tinter can do it!!! :confuse
