clear dual pane glass. tempered. brand new. vinyl framed sitting in my shop now. the glass shop that dropped 'em off wants NRM PS3 installed on the interior side of them. I don't know the direction they'll be facing or the shadowing. the elevation is about 2500 ft. the windows are 21 x 63. 8 of them. 2 panes per vinyl frame.

I warned 'em and they still say "since they're tempered they will be fine."

for those who aren't familiar....NRM PS3 is blackout film.

I've covered my azz on this so that's nothing to worry about.

I've always done exterior installs with blackout. I tried to convince them to let me do that but they want the grids to be visible from the outside.

funny thing....this is one of the glass shops that is always telling their customers NOT to tint windows cuz it causes seal failure and glass breakage. :dunno with my luck these windows will be just fine and I won't be able to say "I told ya so." :beer

cover yourself with a waiver but I've never had a piece of tempered glass break with any kind of film. I tend to not worry too much if the glass is tempered and the window is under 15 sq ft.
