I checked it out and get this the cd works, tape player works, am works ,the fm on the other hand looks like it works. (finds station etc.) But want make any noise. but if you hold down one of the preset buttons you'll here it beep and set the station. oh its a 00 toyota camry any help would be nice :dunno

Tough call since you don't know if it was like that before or not. She could be just shaking you down to get something for free....or is telling you the truth.

I guess the question would be ...did you use enough water that what she is saying is possible?

If so...eat it and get her another radio. If not its up to you how much you want to fight her on it.

Im just wondering how water got into the radio? The only way I could see it is if the cd was ejected and sitting halfway out and then got wet :dunno . Blow some canned air inside the cd outlet, or if there is water in it it should be dried out by tomorrow and see if it works again.

I don't see how it's possible to have flooded the dash with enough water to affect the stereo, let aloneJUST the stereo. You'd almost have to do it on purpose!!! There is a BUTTLOAD of water sensitive crap up in there. BUT, stranger things have happened. Good case for having insurance, 'cuz sure as :dunno , if it was him that flooded the radio, there's gonna be a whole lot more problems cropping up. :lol . Good Luck with this one TT. Hope that you got good insurance. This could get expensive. 'course, then again, it could be she spilled a coke or some other drink on the face of it. My sister does that ALL THE TIME! Women DO tend to try and multi-task!!
