Ok say you wanna stock one type of film because your narrowminded but need to make a living... Charge less and use regular dyed film, or charge more and use Metallic film. I really don't care for the look of the metallic. Doesn't the regular film shrink easier anyway? :beer:beer

I use the ATR and would use a hybrid film like it. Metal with dyed layer. Good heat rejection and low reflection.

A color stable dyed film will cost about the same but not give as much heat rejection. It will not interfere with electronics though as the HP style can.

I don't know about Global. I have used llumar, sungard, and a small bit of Johnson on autos. I am sure someone will be along to suggest the Global for you....or do a search and find it.

I have been using the HP charcoal for about 9 months and so far so good takes a lot of heat and I like that. The QDP is to thin for my likeing but everyone likes something diff.

I used to think along those lines. Higher end films attract higher end custys. I now carry CS film, and charge MORE for it 'cuz it wont interfere with the gadgets. Most Custys think of tint as a piece o' plastic you stick on thier windows to make 'em darker. I don't confuse the issue. I used to talk till I was blue in the face about the advantages of Metallized film vs Dyed. I charge what the job is worth, no matter which film I use.

I'd stay away from Global as a car film, it don't shrink worth :dunno IMHO.

Global QDP is my "base" film.

Color stable, GPS safe, etc etc etc etc.

If they want a different look or more heat rejection they step up to my HP or full metal.

But not all dyed films have horrible heat rejection. 3M CS and Madico Charcool have heat rejections similar to most HP films.
