getting my first roll of 35% charcoal classic tommorrow, I am gettin a 30" roll by 100ft. just curious of what the average number of cars doing just the rears behind the driver and back glass would I get from this roll providing I get no scraps, (which I probably will)

hope this film turns into a good investment from the films workability point of view. will prob get a 20" roll too after I get a few quid but being out of work for past month with injuries aint helped my cashflow. and will just wait till I line up a few darker ones before I get a couple of 15% rolls

cooldaddy on avg (not precise) rear door on passenger vehicles will be about 2 foot and fronts will be about 3

your 30" roll isnt going to fit alot of back glass's on sedans unless your seaming

I hope I read your question right :beer

We use 30" for almost ALL back glass down here. Only the odd hatch will be like 32" or so. Most film distributors only sell 20", 30" and 60". Coolrides, your from UK right? I think the cars we have down here are very similar, so 30" should work on most back glass and if you turn the 30" on its side, you won't have much wastage for the rear doors. You will get about 9 cars just doing the back section.

How is the 30" not going to generate a lot of waste on the side windows?

I only said rear doors by turning it sideways. That's what I do if I run out of 20" :beer

only seen one or two that I couldn do with 30" I know I might have to waste some but a really cant afford to be buying any rolls at the min as I aint been paid for a month but just got to go for it an get the cars to pay for it then get a 20" roll and some different shades.
