Ryker
I have just started doing this....holds up better than masking tape and IF you need to heat the bottom of the window for a finger or something then it helps act as a heat shield too. works great for those decks that are just ALMOST out of the way. I use thumb tacks for falling head liners and if I got some 3m on hand I'll just stick back up for them takess 30 sec and it out of your why

Ryker
the tint is on the rear deck to cover the fuzzy "carpet". I use a heat gun SOMETIMES inside when a finger pops up on the bottom and the film will help shield the deck. If a headliner is not in good shape I just simply tell them to hit the road until they get it fixed.....not worth the headache to me.
Guest boyd
Yeah been doing this one also, works well. I usually do it to cover rear speaker too. Saves them filling up with water. Aparently that doesn't make the customer happy... jokes
autoez22
you can also quickly swipe the heatgun where the carpet meets the glass to remove small fibers sticking up. just remember to keep the heat gun on low and do it quick. dont wanna melt nothen. just kill little fibers
Ryker
this is for the decks that the carpet will touch slightly no matter what.....
