Guest 1PEECBARETTA
I have a custy in town that is from new york and he has made an appointment with me to get his taurus wagon tinted and I am not sure on what the legal or "sudo-legal" can be. If I read the laws correctly, the rear can be any, and the driver rollups and rear pollups can be no darker than 70%. My question is , how much of a risk is there to do 35 or 50% on the rear rollups. THANKS in advance-1peecofdung

Fiveofeen
I was amazed at the amount of cars I saw in Brooklyn with really light tint jobs. I rarely saw any dark tint. Yes I know this post is completley useless... suck it.
Underground
If they drive like a normal person, they shouldnt have any issues with 50 or 35%. Most cops I deal with tell me that as long as they can see in, it keeps them happy.
FRANK
I Tint quite a few cars for cops here in NY and all have different views. One I spoke to recently said that you can only go 70% on the 2 fronts ie: driver & passenger, the rear can be darker ie: 20% Again others will tell you something else, basically they say as long as they can see you they will not bother you but like I said it all depeneds who pulls you over, You do not know if that day the cop is pissed off at someone and takes it out on you..lol Funny thing is that they pass this law around and the first person to break it are the cops, they bring their personal cars to have them tinted as dark as possible, I had this one cop want 20% on his front windshield So technically 70% is legal on the fronts if they want to go darker I believe they can get away with a 50%...good luck that is one pive of car..lol
Guest 1PEECBARETTA
Thanks everyone! I will do 50% on fronts and 30 on the rear, I think that will work
