Guest 2chase3
I had recently asked for help (which I didnt realize I posted in wrong topic, apologies to mods) So my question here is How many Security film installers are self employed? Or do you work for another outfit? It seems hard to find or network with good installers with good work ethics all around. Some are slloppy tinters but own a calender. while others are great tinter's but have no knowledge of a Daily planner .lol Has others noticed this with Subs? Btw. still looking for some help in Houston

Guest 2chase3
I need experienced installers willing to work on a time frame agreed upon. Ive tried the hourly wage only to find that some installers pull a " On-site Camp out" on theses terms. So what I offer now is a price per foot.*check out ad in classifieds* Tools, tint. ladders or scaffolding are provided. possible fuel reimbursment. just need some experienced installers willing to work in my area. I hate the idea of recruitment from auto shops. We need a networking forum lol.

Ah I forgot to mention most of my work is residential so it wouldnt be worth your efforts seeing as your not local, most jobs are smaller 150-350 sqs. but thanks for your reply

I have met a few who can really hang S&S, but they are few and far between. Square footage pay is the only way to go All you should have to provide is "expendables." Paper towels, blades, etc. Installers should have thier own tools and ladders. Scaffolding and REALLY big ladders are another story. You do realize that there is the "on the ground" price, and the "way up there" price per square? Ah I forgot to mention most of my work is residential so it wouldnt be worth your efforts seeing as your not local, most jobs are smaller 150-350 sqs. but thanks for your reply I'd say if you were to line up 7-10 300 S/F jobs, Scott & I could be there and get them done! Whatta ya say Scott?

Guest VOLTRON
I am a sub in the DFW area and do work down in Houston from time to time. If you run into any jobs with some larger sq I could probably make it down there if the money is right. I keep a schedule and need about a week to 2 weeks notice. solar, safty, deco films.
