Hey guys! whats new in the tint world? Some of you may or may not remember me. I haven't been on this site in quite some time.

Well...if you want to know the truth about what brought me back here....I recently bought a smashed up black 92 BMW 325i for $350 and needs about $1000 in work to be mint with a book value of $3600 I couldn't pass up the deal. So, I got it home and decided some tint would really make this car look sweet. I pulled out the 5 foot roll of SunTek I bought last year. I haven't really had the time to exercise my tinting skills recently, but it is something I really want to learn along side with the sign/detailing business I currently run from my home. Anyways, while I was tinting the back window...(came out pretty nice considering I did it outside and at night with the bugs and it's been so long. I also used the wet method and shrunk pretty well too...) I realized how much I missed tinting...

I was walking from the store today on my break at work with my friend. I saw another guy I work with and the woman who sold me her BMW (also work with her) walking into the tint shop right next door. She was looking for a price on tint for her new audi and the guy I work with had his wifes car done there as well as his new BMW...I grabbed my friend and we followed them in. At first it was just to poke around, seeing his set up, checking his place out. Next think I know something popped out of my mouth " Hey, you need some help around here?" to my surprise, the guy said yes, I could use some help! I told him I make signs but want to learn the tinting business. He told me he could use a good sign guy too. I am going to him tomorrow to talk more, I had to go because my break was over but I do 2-3 split shifts a week with 4 hours breaks so I could def go there during that time to sharpen my skills...I was so shocked that I was provided this oppertunity...I thought I would jump back on this site for a min and share my thought...I am hoping it turns out to be something worth my time. I will work for free, I just want to learn so I can start tinting from home too...until I grow some balls to actually open a shop up for detailing and truck lettering place. So, sorry for the long story, hope to see you guys back around here more often....

Nick

Cliffs:

Purchased a used BMW... while tinting it, realized how much he missed tinting

Went into a shop and asked if they needed help - they said yes

so he'll be improving his tinting skills there before opening his own shop.
