Kemble
Is it my machine or is it the material I'm cutting? But it seams like all the calendered & cast material I cut, cuts fine, but when I am cutting diamond plating, brushed gold/silver, and chrome mirrored the material seams to like to bubble on me in the plotter. Sometimes it bubbles right before it goes into the machine and when the blade has to cut over a bubble it usually doesn't cut clean. Or some times it will cut fine but afterwards it sort of lifts the edge up a little and bubbles along the edge. Makes it for a PITA to weed. Slick
I think the reason is because the stuff is a thicker polyester, not vinyl. its used to being rolled and when you put it into the plotter, it doesnt want to flatten out, so instead it lifts off the backing paper. Not a very good discription but... they pretty much all do it. worse as you get closer to the core. One thing I do that helps a bit is not keep the poly wrapped tight to the core. When I get it I loosen it off and let it ......."relax"?

When its made and rolled up tight on the core it holds a memory and if you try to flaten it out too quick it will do that it sucks bad when your in a hurry . Just let the roll relax like one slick said and it will do better .

Guest Reflexxions
You need to be using a 60 deg. blade for the metal looking vinyl.
