removing liner on bg with defroster tabs

Recommended Posts

on back glasses with defrosted taps you have to cut out how do you remove the liner around the tab without it ripping? pull from the top just before it tears, then pull from the bottom and remove in one clean piece? or is there some other way of doing it?

I peel it until just before it tears and then start from the other corner and meet them up in the middle at the defroster tab. You can then peel it down in one piece :dunno

You can also round your corners instead of 90 degree angles when cutting (not so much as to have a lightgap) and that works as well for an easy 1 pull,no tear peel :dunno

I cut mine in a smooth motion (thanks brother) and I don't get tears. I also peel at a 45 degree angle past that part, and then go straight across.

Also if you're not using a super thin film it helps.
